Hello, my name is Christine Miller. Christine E Miller to be exact-not easily confused with the multitudes of other Christine Millers out there. I currently live in the fairly ordinary city of Columbus, Ohio. Growing up in a midwestern town, its way of ease encapsulating my early life, I had a dreamy childhood. The simple childlike fun in art is what originally attracted me.
Even from a very young age my creativity was cultivated like the incessant fields of corn crop that converge here. My mom was open minded to the infinite ridiculous ideas that popped into my head. Her philosophy was if you can imagine it, you can do it. On the other hand, my dad showed me how to use my dreams to solve real world situations.
Whether visiting the city streets of downtown or jaunting through the parks I was continually drawn to the natural world. Most of my artwork centers around these two extremes. An eclectic mix of the bustling metropolis with surrounding farm country, my illustrations playfully combine simple landscapes and animals with edgy urban life through imaginative worlds.
My stories show insight into the human mind and development betwixt an abstract twist. Organic influences collide with stylized, as the characters encounter adventures they could only have dreamed of.
